Flying Like An Eagle - Another Takes Flight

Ever wondered what it would be like to fly like an eagle?

Well, Benjamin Pancarik of Escondido found out yesterday as he discovered light sport flying in the Aeroprakt A32 Vixxen out of the airport at Ramona California.

Ben - Young EagleBen's flight was part of the Experimental Aircraft Association's (EAA) "Eagles" program whereby young and old alike can experience a free ride in a small light sport airplane.

After a proper pre-flight, Ben and pilot Greg Gudorf took off to soar over San Diego county viewing lakes, roadways, and mountainsides.

After our flight, the resulting smile speaks volumes of the fun had in flight. In fact, when Ben's Dad Brian saw the joy, he decided to also take a flight right then and there.

The Young Eagles version of this program launched in 1992 and to date, more than 2 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight made possible by the generosity of EAA member volunteers and the near 40,000 volunteer pilots who endeavor to introduce the freedom of flight to young people everywhere.
